Do You Know Why You Want to Learn to Freestyle Rap?

What makes you want to learn to freestyle rap? Have you ever thought about that? Do you know what is inside of you that is motivating you to do this? Have you seen a freestyle rapper that you want to be like? Do you like what you see when you watch a freestyle rapper? Before you get started doing anything, you should take the time to do some self-analysis and find what is driving you or what we will call your "inner why".

We spend a lot of time learning all the steps or the how-to's to do something. Without the why's however, the steps or how to's will never get accomplished. Your why will keep you dedicated, motivated and passionate.

So how do you determine your inner why? As I mentioned previously, you must do some self-analysis. I believe asking yourself questions until you get down to the core answer can do this. So let's go through a step-by-step process that you can apply to yourself.

We'll use the question why do you want to learn to freestyle rap as our first question. I can't give you an answer, but whatever answer you come up with is your surface reason. As an example if I was asking this question, I might say I like to perform.

My next question should now be, why do I like to perform? I might say that I like to perform because I like the response I get from the audience. This is another deeper reason.

I then have to continue to ask further why do I like the response from the audience. I might answer this question by saying that the response from the audience makes me feel special.

As you can see, you want to be able to continue asking yourself questions until you can no longer ask any more questions or until you get to the core answer.

Once you have discovered what your inner why is, make sure that you write it down and then read it every day for at least 30 days. Remember it usually take 30 days for something to become a habit.
